19,911 fans came to see the Jazz take on the world champs and 19,910 stayed to the end to see the Jazz upset Miami 104-97. The Ed Hardy t-shirt wearing fan sitting courtside was the only one who didn't stay through, and he didn't leave on his own volition.

The Jazz cruised out to a big 21 point lead over the Heat behind electric shooting from Gordon Hayward (8-for-13 from the field, 3-of-4 from three) and another big 20/10 night for Big Al (23 points and 11 rebounds). The Jazz started with a big 40-17 run then absorbed a big run from the Heat.

At the end of the day, you can credit this win to the Jazz' new found identity as a physical team. They worked the glass and outrebounded the Heat 40-23. They fought through screens while trying to mark The King. The Jazz rolled up their sleeves and out-worked the Miami Heat. You can certainly say the Jazz effort eclipsed that of the Heat and you can credit an insane Energy Solutions crowd for some of that energy. With the win the Jazz improve to 12-4 at home, where they will play 9 of their next 11 contests. LeBron said of his team's effort, "It was low energy. Low energy against a team like this on their floor with this amazing crowd, can't play with low energy."

The Jazz have now won 6 of their last 8 and seem to be figuring out the early season struggles. The Jazz sit just 1/2 game out of the 8 spot in the Western Conference and 1 game out of 7. The 6 seed Denver plays the 8 seed Portland on Tuesday night, so the Jazz will gain a half game on one of them. The 7 seed Houston takes on the Clippers. Houston has lost 3 straight and should drop a fourth consecutive Tuesday.

Notes: Alec Burks had a tough night running the point with no assists and a turnover in 8 minutes on the floor. The second-year pro was -13 in the +/-....The Jazz held the Heat to ZERO second-chance points....DeMarre Carroll scored 12 points and grabbed 3 offensive boards in just 15 minutes on the floor.
